Week Notes # 3

Gosh I can’t believe it’s June already! This week has flown by! So my Bank Holiday Monday was spent at BM&AG checking out their new exhibition Turning To See which is curated by John Stezaker. I can’t wait to hear him talk about it on 9th June.

I’m sure you’re all aware of the upcoming EU Referendum. I’ve been undecided about whether I’m in the Stay or Leave camp so on Wednesday my friend Fehmida and I went to hear a panel which included Caroline Lucas and Salma Yaqoob discuss why we should stay. Both women were very inspiring to listen to.

On Thursday I went to Impact Hub where Allison Sadler from The People Shop was giving a free workshop. We painted terracotta pots and made macrame pot holders.

My week rounded off today with a zine making workshop at my WI group which was led by Jane from Birmingham Craftivists. I ended up sharing my zine making past before got down to creating our pages.

Here’s a few things I’ve enjoyed this week:

Links I’ve Loved

24 reasons why  you should start a blog

Brilliant illustrations capturing the joys of staying in

11 places in Birmingham which are always called the ‘wrong name’

What I’ve Watched

I actually haven’t watched much TV this week apart from Peaky Blinders and The Great British Sewing Bee but I’d like to watch The Disappearance, Versailles and Damien Hirst and Jeff Koons Side By Side: The Interview on catch up.

I’m so looking forward to this week as I’ve got several fun things planned, what are you up to this week?
