Private View | Bone, Thugs And Harmony – Used Pencil

Odox is an artist-run project space, gallery and studio provider in the Jewellery Quarter which opened earlier this year. Their focus is on new and contemporary art with their current exhibition shining the spotlight on the work of Secret Walls winning doodler Used Pencil aka Ben Pickering.

Bone, Thugs and Harmony showcases Used Pencil’s large, intricate and in your face style of street art. 

As you walked into the reception area there was a collaborative mural based around the theme of identity that visitors could draw on prior to viewing the exhibition. 

I haven’t visited Odox before so this private view was a perfect opportunity to hear more about the space from owners Rob Hamp and Jay Taylor and to have a conversation with the artist Used Pencil about his work and Upfest.
