I’ve been wanting to visit the Museum Collections Centre for quite a while but found that it was only open to the general public on a Friday afternoon whilst I was at work so I was pretty chuffed to find out there was an open day on a Saturday as part of Hidden Spaces.
Housing 80 per cent of Birmingham Museums’ stored collections under it’s roof the Museum Collections Centre houses thousands of objects ranging from sculptures, toys, a red telephone box to steam engines and shoes, the contrasting mix of objects make it an intriguing place to explore .
